Zathoros' Other Pages

I just play Rainbow Six for fun, and there's no real challenge in cheating. The real reason I am putting this page up is to show how pointless tournaments and ladders are. People who are obsessed with ranking and what not are the ones who will cheat. So play for fun, and avoid the obsessive people who continually ask for clan matches.

Rainbow Six & Eagle Watch MultiPlayer Cheats

3rd person Cheats

I first learned about this cheat at Dog's of War. The 3rd person perspective can be quite usefull. It allows you to percieve things about your environment in an abornmal way. RSE did limit your field of fire while in this mode to prevent most cheating, about the only thing you can shoot through is a bradley. The following two pictures are from Dog's of War, they show someone shooting through a bradley.

Normally though when an object is in your way R6 doesn't allow you to shoot through it. This error only happens when an object is about the same hieght as you. But the real advantage of the 3rd person view is that you can see arround objects, or over them to scout an area without any risk to yourself.

Weapon Cheats

It was very nice of RSE to allow for thier game stats to be modified, almost everything is a simple text file. But it also allows for cheating. RSE did try and curb it somewhat, if you edit a standard gun, those changes only affect the host. For instance, if you were to give the mp5 pdw 200 rounds of ammo. And then host a game, just you the host would have the extra ammo. Or if you modify an add on weapon, the changes will affect everyone in the game. This can still be used to cheat though, as the host could turn a crappy gun into a super weapon. And then just he and his team would pick that particular weapon. I haven't really tested it, but judging by the way frag mods work a whole team might even be able to cheat with the standard weapons.

Also, frags and flash bangs can be modified. The explosion radius mods affect everyone in the game, so no real cheating can occur there, since the changes affect evryone equally. However, the distance you throw a grenade or flash bang can also be changed. As I mention on the mod page, these later changes affect only the host and the people who are using the mod. This could lead to unfair advantages for some players.

Skin Cheats

Like the weapons the skins are accessible as well. Changes can be made for harmless purposes, like clan skin mods such as the RIP clan skin. Or the can be used to alter game play. Simply deleting all the skin files results in everything appearing a bright red. Or you could delete skin files for a particular skin you hate, for instance the black combat armour skin. But you can also replace those skins with some different bitmaps.

One clan, Sneaky Dudes, has replaced the entire set of standard player bitmaps. Below are a couple of pictures from a test of thier skin mod, which is available for download on the files section of thier page.
