I personally am finding it difficult to believe that 8.2 was 14 megs. They included tons of stuff unrelated to a weapon mod. And they followed ARMM's lead in using a massive number of sounds that crash the game. 8.2 also included a bunch of guns that were clearly cheat guns.

I cut out all the advertisement and modfifed all the guns to use standard, sounds and aligned all thier stats to make the bogus weapons more reasonable. I also eliminated everything that wasn't specifically related to the weapon mod. All this reduces the size of the mod to a reasonable 2.1 megs.

Thanks to ARMM and ITF for working on the mod, too bad that ARMM hates sniper weapons and ITF likes cheat guns. It's also a shame that they insist on using additional sounds, it's clearly too much for the r6 game engine to handle mixing bunches of sounds. RSE only included a few gun sounds for a reason. You have to wonder if ITF and ARMM even play in large multiplayer games. If either group did they would instantly realize thier mods were unstable and eliminate the extra sounds.

8-2-Ripped is compatible with 8.2, you can download this (2.1 megs) and have a more stable game, or dowload ITF's 8.2 (14 megs) and have a game that crashes all the time.

    For those that feel the sounds are the cause of the crashes with Nato 2, I have a regular sounds mod for Nato 2. It replaces all the gun sounds with standard R6 sounds. Extract the following archive to your root r6 folder, and all your guns will use default sounds. Unlike my 8.2 mod, which is complete, this needs to be installed after you install Nato 2.

    Sarge's Frag Mod
    This is a half and half mod. People can join your games even if they don't have the mod. Half of the mod will affect them, the blast radious of the frags. But unless they also have the frag mod, they won't be able to throw them the increased distance. If you use this mod and join games where the host isn't using it, it has no effect upon how the game operates. I personally prefer the modest way standard grenades act, more in line with the scale of the guns.

    AF Nato 2 Grenade Launcher
    I haven't used it but I presume that this is also a half and half mod. People would be able to join your games even if they don't have the mod. This mod adds an extra equipment item to represent the grenade launcher, but it changes the stats of all grenades in the game not just for the grenade launcher. If you use this mod and join games where the host isn't using it, it has no effect upon how the game operates. I personally prefer the modest way standard grenades act, more in line with the scale of the guns.
